New Baby Boy Onesie

Hi, Yes I am still at it; making Baby Boy Albums.  This is my fourth this month, the other three were custom made but this one is going on my Etsy store Kitsnbitscraps.  This album is made of all chipboard pages to look like a cute onesie.


I used a mixture of paper I had for baby.  I organize my paper in themes so these pages were in my pizza box labeled Baby Boy.

This album is perfect for a baby shower gift or as your baby's first year to cherish.  Below are some close ups of some of the cute embellishments

Birthday Stamped Card with Helmar

Hi Veronica here today and I must say I am very happy to be on another term with Helmar!  This will be my third year


Today I am sharing a Birthday Card I created using Helmar Craft Glue and also Helmar zapdots.  I love using the zapdots because I like layering and making my work look dimensional.

I have some outline stamps that are made to stack and create beautiful layered images.  I made this flower and started creating my Birthday card with my base and working my way up.

First, since I have been on a journey to use my stash - I went to my folio where I keep pieces of pattern paper.  This is great for making cards because you don't need that much paper to make a card.  My base is a 5x7 craft card.

I added some blank white paper on the inside of card for writing a note.  Now I have my base card ready with my brown and green patterned papers.  So I add my beautiful stamped and layered flower.  I also punched out some smaller brown flowers and had a small green flower from my stash to use.  Since my flower is already 3 dimensional I adhere the flower with my Helmar Craft glue.



Its time for zap dots.

My card is layered but not extremely bulky because after all I do want to mail it.

BaBy Scrapbook Layouts

Hi -


I've been busy!  Using my stash and making simple baby pages.  I just listing the first one "Sweet Dreams" above and will list second one "Sweetie" tomorrow on my Kitsnbitscraps Etsy Store


I also made a cute very layered stamped card for Helmar  today but that is news for another day.  Like I said - I have been busy.


This second layout is titled "Sweetie" with subtitle "play" which I will list tomorrow.  By the way I am also starting to list more Christmas Cards on my Kitsnbitscraps Etsy store too, so check it out.

I used Helmar on both layouts.  I have used tape runners lots of times and what I find out is that you need liquid glue if you want it to stay put for a life.

Repurpose the Old and Make it New Again

Hi, today my Home Décor project is being featured at the Helmar blog, please go on over and see what the design team is up to.

For this project, I knew I was making a gift for my neighbor's grandchild.  My assignment was to take something old and make it new again.  I had a K and Company frame for a couple of years and I thought it would make a great gift.  The style and color of the old frame was not what I was looking for but it was easy to change it with a little paint.



I changed the original base matt to a baby motif with with dark and light shades of grey.  I also liked the original border around the photo of the old K&Co. matt.  It was easy to fussy cut the border, change the color and adhere it to the new matt.

I chose this cute cloud pattern and added the adorable 3D elephant to match the baby's room.  Lastly I decorated the outside corner of the frame with lots of pretty flowers and buttons.

Doggie Tags and Helmar Adhesives

Hi, today I my tags are being featured over at Helmar.  Please go on by and take a look at what all the designers have lined up for you.




I am one of those crafters that has my hands in many different genres/medias.  I paint, sketch, scrapbook, cross stitch, sew ... you name it.  One of the reasons is probably because my mom taught my twin sisters and I how to do all those things including knitting, but that didn't take with me.  Knitting takes too long and I didn't have the patience. 


So like my love of all things having to do with creativity and handmade I also have several "styles."  One of styles is whimsical art or in this case paper piecing.


I made these cute "Back to School" tags for my design team project.  I love these doggies, they are so dang cute.

For these projects I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry and also Helmars 3D Zap Dots.  If you want a project NOT to come apart a couple of years from now, then definitely have to use Helmar's liquid glue.

One trick for making your paper piecings "come alive" is to use 3D layers.  Also using dry and wet chalk for shadows and of course a high light pen.

Fun Layout Using Helmar Adhesives

Hi, I just posted this cute layout over at the Helmar blog - we have a new design team so go on over and see what the other team members have created.


Today I wanted to use my BoBunny 6x6 mini pad.  As you know their pads of papers have so many pages and I get a thrill of using every last piece.  Whether it is on albums, layout or cards I have an obsession to not waste my beautiful papers.  So for this project I have some left over pre-made pages that came in my pad. 


Below are some photos of my process.  I was able to use the premade pages by fussy cutting around them and making this 12x12 layout.

I used the Helmar Scrap Dots for my 3D effect and adhered the papers with Helmar Permanent runner.

I also used the matching BoBunny embellishments that went with my paper pad and embellished with the same ribbon, flowers and brads that were in the paper design.

Helmar Adhesives - Making Birthday Cards

It's my turn over at the Helmar blog today.  These cards are being featured along with the process of supplies, instructions and tips to make these cards.  So please go on over to the Helmar blog today.


These two cards were made with the same design in mind.  I slightly altered the second "Happy Birthday" card with size and added more pennants. 

To follow the instructions to make these cards please go to the Helmar card I went through the process for the smaller "Celebrate" card.  For this yellow "Happy Birthday" card I used yellow Bazzill cardstock and changed the color and pattern of the ribbons.

I also changed the Sizzix embossed folder pattern to dots.  I added some patterned paper and made this card 5x7.


I used three Helmar Adhesives.  One of my favorites is the 450 Quick Dry Adhesive

I also used the Helmar Scrap Dots to adhere my ribbon bow to my card



Lastly, I used the Helmar Zap Dots 3D white round

Here is the small white "Celebrate" card which I made first



Hope you enjoyed my card making today.  When making cards and you already have all your supplies out, you might as well make several.  It takes just as much effort to make one card than it does to make two or three.  Use the same design for all so as not to reinvent the wheel.  All you need to do is alter your cards with size, color or added embellishments.
