Mandala Art Jar with Art Anthology

Hi, today my mandala is being featured over at Art Anthology!  Please go on over to their blog for more views and start to finish photos of my process.  Also while you are there check out the other Mandala's that were created by my design team peeps.

Every month at Art Anthology we have a theme challenge.  So of course this month was mandalas.  Well I've never drawn a mandala and also, I wanted to do some thing "out of the box" or jar in this case.

I specifically made a jar because I am currently redecorating my scrap room.  I now hold all my paint brushes in a coffee mug.  I wanted to create something pretty to put my paint brushes in so this seemed the perfect opportunity.

Hope you enjoyed my interpretation of the Mandala Challenge at Art Anthology and thank you for stopping by.

OKLAHOMA Cyber Benefit Crop

Hi, I am so happy to be a part of this fundraiser that  Cheeky Chic Scrapbooking will be hosting on June 15th to benefit the victims of the Oklahoma tornado tragedy through the United Way. The cost will be $15 dollars and all proceeds will be donated directly to the United Way of Oklahoma.  I will one of the host and will be posting a challenge and give-away for my hour.  Please come join us, have some fun and donate to help.

There will be an online crop plus challenges hosted by me, my friend Jules Eickmeier, of course Dee from Cheeky Chic's and also some people that have been in the industry for a while such as, Becky Fleck, and Cathy Zielske, just to name a few.  We also have some fabulous and generous sponsors to give away some prizes including: Kitsnbitscraps (that's me), Bo Bunny, Fancy Pants, Little Yellow Bicycle, May Arts, Pink Paislee, Echo Park, Bella Blvd, and more!!

There will be a challenge every hour, on the hour, from 8am EST - 6pm plus challenges from some big names in the scrapbooking arena with a full week to complete the challenges you pick. You will have tons of chances to win some great prizes. There will also be a drawing held for a big prize from the first fifty people to donate, so don't hesitate and be one of the first 50!  Please think about joining us for a fun day of cropping, games and prizes for a good cause. We know the people affected by this tornado tragedy will be very grateful

Celebrate Christmas

Well one down and one to go.  Well actually I have more ideas roaming around in my head for Christmas albums LOL.  But for now, lets just say that I still have a half finished album on my work table that I will finish by next week.

So back to this album "Celebrate" I thought it turned out whimsical and cute which lately I do a lot of whimsy.  I use to be altered vintage when I first started scrapping years ago; then when I started teaching alot of classes it seemed that my audience liked whimsy.  Maybe it is because there are a lot of mommies out there with young children and I can see why they would be more partial to cuteness.

Anywho, what I did with this album was use an assortment of eclectic papers with the color scheme of pinks, blues, and reds.  I was inspired by the cutie patootie snowman on the tin ornament I used on the cover and everything after that kind of just came together.

The covers are made from the Clear Scraps snowflake album and the inside pages are different shapes and made of chipboard.  I like to mix things up :)

For more pics of this album click here:  CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS.  I have posted it on ebay for our PFOP team challenge.

PFOP Christmas in July Challenge!!

Join the PFOP design team when we highlight our Christmas in July Challenge.

Here is one of the things I made for this challenge - it is called Winter Wonderland and is made with the Tattered Angels gatefold album.  I placed "snow" on the gate of the album and used candy cane and marshallow glimmer mist for the covers.  I also used the tattered angels swirl screen; and then used a silver leaf ink pen to pronounce the feeling of snow and winter.

Come see what the Pocket Full of Paper Design tream is up to.

Cards

I wanted to post the cards that I made with the My Paper Treehouse June Kit.  There was so much Jillibean Soup in the kit and I loved all the patterns.  I still have product left over from the kit even after making 6 pages and 2 cards, so I definately will be making some more cards with what I have left.

Here are my cards

This card I used as a sample for a challenge over at My Paper Treehouse, so go on over there and play along with us.  The challenge is a recipe and all entries are to be in by saturday.  The winner will be announced on Sunday and they will win some rub-ons and a bottle of stickles.
