Spring Means Weddings!

Hi, just wanted to share a quick photo of some custom banners I made for a bridal shower gift for a special friends wedding.

My client let me know exactly what she wanted. Black with a touch of red and very simple, the bride likes a simple clean look.

So I created these banners for her.  She loves them and is happy.  Yay, my job is done :)

The Mr. and Mrs. banner is for the wedding photos taken on site and the thank you banner is for after her wedding - she wants to thank her friends and family for attending her special occasion.

I reinforced both banners with extra tabs where I strung through the wire and the ribbon.

I thought this was such a cute idea for a photo opportunity to commemorate your special day.

Happy scrapping, thank you for stopping by.

Guest Designer at Leaky Shed Studio!

I am so excited today!  I am the Guest Designer over at Leaky Shed Studio.  I decided to create a tag using Leaky Shed Studio's awesome chipboard Butterflies and their Julie Nutting doll.

For those of you that know me - you know I love making tags because they are little pieces of art.  You have the freedom with not a lot of time invested; to use all kinds of mixed media and layer to your heart's content.

I used the following below from Leaky Shed Studio, go on over and check out the products and blog featuring my tag!  I also posted a mini tutorial of my process when making the tag.

Classy Girl (4 in) - Julie Nutting

Spring Butterfly (small)

I hope I have inspired you to make a tag today and don't forget to check Leak Shed Studio for awesome chipboard.

Layouts and More Layouts

As you know I love making albums, but my girlfriends ask me for layouts at our crops.  So I wanted to revamp some old designs and use my stash.  I am a big believer in using your stash LOL.

So here are some themed 2 page layouts that I've made and posted on my Etsy Store Kitsnbitscraps

I wanted to give you another example of how you can use the same stash and just change out the position and make another layout with your stash!

Thank you for stopping by ....  I am making a cute coin envelope mini album right now that I should be able to post soon.

Winter Wonder

Hi, wanted to share this 12x12 canvas (Blick) that I made for the Basically Bare CHA show.  They have a new chipboard window diecut this year and it was so fun to use.

I painted the chipboard white then added layers of the Art Anthology (linen) sorbet, doesn't it look like snow!  Love their products.  I added some cute Bo Bunny paper, some paint, bling and Basically Bare's stars from their Celestial Shapes Embellishment pack and voila - a winter wonderland as seen through their new window diecut.

Please go on over to Basically Bare today where this frosty canvas is featured and let me know what you all think.

Keep warm, and happy scrapping ...

BE TRUE Valentine

Hi,

Well I am still in the mood for Valentine's Day so I made this cute chipboard and paper bag mini album.  It measures 4x7 but the cool thing about it is that is 3 inches thick!  Which translates into TONS of real estate for your photos, journaling and special memories of your True Love.  I have two True Loves in my life that I could not live without - my daughter and my husband.

I have posted this album on my store so just click here for Kitsnbitscraps and see what else you might like including more Valentine albums!

Here are some more photos of the album, there are 27 pages for photo ops and or journaling.  There are also 3 tags and pockets for smaller journaling and 6 large tags and pockets.

The album is tied together with May Arts ribbon

Each signature has a flap that opens up for more photos, I saw Kathy Orta do this and thought it was cool.  The flap is glued onto the gusset of the paper bag.  Also notice all the cute large tags that are in the pocket of the paper bag.  More photos, more journaling and also slip in some extra momentos

I used a combination of Little Yellow Bicycle, Reflections, May Arts, canvas, buttons, and die cuts.

Hope you are enjoying my Valentine inspirations, remember to stop by my store Kitsnbitscraps and see my new postings.

Happy Scrapping ...

Be My Valentine

I just finished this cute banner album "Be My Valentine" and posted it at my Etsy  Kitsnbitscraps store.  Since Valentine's Day is around the corner, I am busy making albums for those special moments with your loved ones.

The album is made with the My Little Yellow Bicycle banner album which measures 6x6.5 and has 10 pages including the covers.

I really like the way this album turned out and hope you do too.  I decided to make this album with less embellishments and 3D elements and make the photos mats larger.

I am almost finished with a second Valentine album and I have posted new layouts on my Kitsnbitscraps store also, so stop by and visit.

Happy Scrapping ...

It's a BOY!

Hi Everyone

My mini tab album is being featured over at Basically Bare today.  It turned out pretty cute.  Sometimes it's hard to put together albums for boys because young mothers are so set on a few select colors and very much against flowers.  So having that in mind I made the boy album themed around GEARS.  That's a boy thing right?

This Tiny Tab album by Basically Bare is so easy to use, if you follow my blog you see that I make ALOT of them LOL.  I also used the different size gears from the Basically Bare gear pack

Go on over to Basically Bare and I would love to know if you like my mini.  I am in the process of making Valentine albums right on so be on the look out.

Baby Carriage Album

Hi Everyone.

I made a custom order for a young mommy and wanted to share this Baby Carriage album with you today.

The outside carriage is made of chipboard which I painted lilac and covered with Basic Grey.  The tag is made of little squares that are embellished with brads, bling and flowers.

The inside pages are made of cardstock with the patterned paper on both sides then sewn together.

The photo matts are doubled matted and also sewn.  Photo matts are 4x4, and the photos slip easily under the ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed this cute baby album

Thank you for stopping by, happy scrapping

Winter Tag Snow Queen

Today my Winter tag is being featured over at Basically Bare, please go on over to the BB blog to see more pictures.  The tag is approx. 4x9 and I used a variety of products (scraps) I had in my Winter box.  I organize by theme along with product line.  So I have two  "winter" boxes - one box with embellishments and the other box with paper.  Any who, I love using up my paper and embellishment scraps, it makes me feel creative.  Why?  Because when I have a collection of papers and matching embellishments its all there for me, easy peasy.  When I mix and match from what I have and try and make that combination happen - it takes more (for me) time, creativity and focus.

Here is a close up of the Basically Bare Dress Form that I used for my Snow Queen Tag.  I used a Reminisce 3D snowflake sticker I had from a couple of collections ago.

I know a lot of states are getting lots of snow, here in Florida we get cloudy, rainy and muggy.  But since its winter I was inspired by all the snow the rest of you are getting so I made this winter tag.

Thank you for stopping by, and again go on over to Basically Bare and see what else the designers have been creating.  Happy New Year
