Bobunny Key Lime with Basically Bare Mini Album

Hi everyone!

Its my turn again to be featured over at Basically Bare Blog.  Today I am sharing a really cute "Oh So Mini" album from Basically Bare using the new collection for summer from Bobunny "Key Lime".  This album turned out very bright and whimsical.  So perfect for summer, beaching it, or a cruise on the high seas.

I am also adding a special announcement today that I will be TEACHING this class for those of you that live in So. Florida.  I am teaching this adorable class over at Scrapbooking Depot.  There are only limited spaces so please call and get a seat, hopefully I will see some familiar faces there.

For a bit more info you can click above on my "classes"  and of course go to Scrapbooking Depot or call them.  I had taken a hiatus but am ready to start teaching again :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a scrappy day.

OKLAHOMA Cyber Benefit Crop

Hi, I am so happy to be a part of this fundraiser that  Cheeky Chic Scrapbooking will be hosting on June 15th to benefit the victims of the Oklahoma tornado tragedy through the United Way. The cost will be $15 dollars and all proceeds will be donated directly to the United Way of Oklahoma.  I will one of the host and will be posting a challenge and give-away for my hour.  Please come join us, have some fun and donate to help.

There will be an online crop plus challenges hosted by me, my friend Jules Eickmeier, of course Dee from Cheeky Chic's and also some people that have been in the industry for a while such as, Becky Fleck, and Cathy Zielske, just to name a few.  We also have some fabulous and generous sponsors to give away some prizes including: Kitsnbitscraps (that's me), Bo Bunny, Fancy Pants, Little Yellow Bicycle, May Arts, Pink Paislee, Echo Park, Bella Blvd, and more!!

There will be a challenge every hour, on the hour, from 8am EST - 6pm plus challenges from some big names in the scrapbooking arena with a full week to complete the challenges you pick. You will have tons of chances to win some great prizes. There will also be a drawing held for a big prize from the first fifty people to donate, so don't hesitate and be one of the first 50!  Please think about joining us for a fun day of cropping, games and prizes for a good cause. We know the people affected by this tornado tragedy will be very grateful

May Arts Design Team Submission

Oh my gosh! I never submit for design teams because it makes me nervous but I had to throw in my hat for the Design Team Call to be on May Arts team.  I loooovvve ribbon, and yes I do hoard.  There will be two rounds, so crossing my fingers I get through round one!

If you are interested in also submitting your work for this fabulous company and product here is the link:  May Arts Design Team Call

So for my first submission and a short tutorial I created this journal and titled it  "My Scrapiness".  I wove several different elements together to give the journal a "want to touch" it feeling.  I wanted to have this journal as my inspiration journal; therefore I wanted to make sure the cover first portrayed my personality which is a "little bit of everything".  Secondly, I need to be inspired to pick up the journal and write so for me it has to have texture and interest.

1.  Cut piece of cardstock to fit cover of your journal.  I cut Kraft cardstock 6x9

2.  Leaving 1 inch border all the way around my 6x9 piece I started cutting from upper left side every 1/2 inch from top to bottom till I reached 1/2 inch from my right edge.

3.  Then I started weaving in and out different ribbon, fiber, fabric, pattern paper through the slits that I cut.

4.  When finished filling in all the space, I machine sewed all along my 1 inch border so that none of my weaving and ribbons would unravel.

5.  Lastly I added different elements to make my cover interesting. I then glued the 6x9 sheet on my journal cover.

My favorite thing to make are mini albums here is a mini album I did for the May Arts / Basically Bare swap.  I used lots of May Arts ribbon and Little Yellow Bicycle

My third project to submit is this cute Door Hanger I did for a Baby Girl's room.

Thank you for stopping by, wish me luck that I get through the first round :)  Have a scrappy day ...

Kind of Cool

So I went to my local LSS because the owner and I have been talking about teaching for her and I started looking around her store and guess what I came across?

I thought that was pretty cool to have one of my albums on the back of the product packaging for Basically Bare "Oh So Mini" mix and match albums.

I posted this album on their blog when it was featured so here is a link to that album.  My "Memories" album of course was made from the Oh So Mini collection, then I added lots of techniques and Prima.

I also have this album I made below on the Basically Bare online store.  That's pretty cool too :)

Thanks for stopping by, I just wanted to share because for me I thought it was pretty cool.

Happy Scrapping ...
