MORE! Sesame Street Pages - Kermit The Frog

Hi Everyone:

Been recreating this Kermit The Frog layout and just need to take pictures, sometimes I get lazy  with all other facets of having an Etsy shop other than the actual making layouts and/or albums.

Anywho, got around to taking photos and now I posted this page on my Etsy Shop Kitsnbitscraps to add to my Sesame Street collection.  I still have one more layout to work on, then I'm done with Sesame Street and moving on.

Sesame Street Pages Just Posted

Hi,

Just posted four new layouts for my Kitsnbitscraps Etsy store.  I have made these before and got some requests to recreate them.  I might recreate / or similar Grouch and Kermit page but then that's it.

If you are interested in adding to your child's album or want to start one, these pages would be perfect for birthday, playtime, learning to count, first meal - pretty much any childhood event.

I listed the following double 12x12 hand drawn, cut and pieced pages of the muppets.

Celebrate New Pages

Hi

I listed this 12x12 Premade layout titled "Celebrate" on my Etsy store Kitsnbitscraps a couple of days ago.

I have been busy creating layouts and albums these last couple weeks.  I figured if I was in the mood I might as well take advantage of that creativity and use it right!

I have a couple of things to tell you about.  I am honored to be on the Helmar team going on my third year - this year I will be a "guest designer" so I wont be on the blog as often as last several terms.  I love my Helmar so couldn't let it go just yet.  Yes, I did use Helmar on this layout and all my layout and albums this week.

More photos for you below.  This would be a great layout for birthday photos, shower photos, anniversaries and even Mom's Day.

These pages have pretty Prima flowers and also stamped (outline stamps) flowers which are layered and glittered.  There are rub ons and vellum, ribbon, stickers and 3D butterflies.  Lots of technique and plenty of room for photos.

BaBy Scrapbook Layouts

Hi -


I've been busy!  Using my stash and making simple baby pages.  I just listing the first one "Sweet Dreams" above and will list second one "Sweetie" tomorrow on my Kitsnbitscraps Etsy Store


I also made a cute very layered stamped card for Helmar  today but that is news for another day.  Like I said - I have been busy.


This second layout is titled "Sweetie" with subtitle "play" which I will list tomorrow.  By the way I am also starting to list more Christmas Cards on my Kitsnbitscraps Etsy store too, so check it out.

I used Helmar on both layouts.  I have used tape runners lots of times and what I find out is that you need liquid glue if you want it to stay put for a life.

Here are some more pics of both layouts.  I will be blogging next about a brand new layout I created yesterday, so come back!  It turned out super cute.

Fun Layout Using Helmar Adhesives

Hi, I just posted this cute layout over at the Helmar blog - we have a new design team so go on over and see what the other team members have created.


Today I wanted to use my BoBunny 6x6 mini pad.  As you know their pads of papers have so many pages and I get a thrill of using every last piece.  Whether it is on albums, layout or cards I have an obsession to not waste my beautiful papers.  So for this project I have some left over pre-made pages that came in my pad. 


Below are some photos of my process.  I was able to use the premade pages by fussy cutting around them and making this 12x12 layout.

I used the Helmar Scrap Dots for my 3D effect and adhered the papers with Helmar Permanent runner.

I also used the matching BoBunny embellishments that went with my paper pad and embellished with the same ribbon, flowers and brads that were in the paper design.

Helmar Mixed Media Layout

Hi, its my turn over at the Helmar blog and I am sharing this mixed media layout of my daughter's trip to Joshua Tree in California.

I decided to try painting my background for a rich bold look.  Below are some photos of my process:

Primed my cardstock with gesso

Taped off my page so that I would have a clean border

Mixed my colors to get a rich blue

Painted my base page

Used gesso and Crafter's Work Shop stencil to get my pattern, then dropped some black ink blots

Using Helmar Decoupage and Craft Glue to glue down my embellishments

Using Helmar Craft glue to adhere my chosen photos

Baby Layout with Leaky Shed Studio Swirl

Hi, I created this cute Baby layout of my niece for Leaky Shed Studio today.  I do not normally scrap with lots of blank space but I knew I wanted several elements on this page; so I thought a plain background would enhance the photo, chipboard and paper piecing.  Plus I wanted to create something out of my wheel house.

Tips and Techniques:

I took out a white piece of Bazzill cardstock and sprayed some blue to go along with the color theme.

I then prepared my LSS chipboard with a couple of coats of Pro Art gesso.  I let it dry between coats.

I wanted my LSS chipboard to be yellow to add a complementary color to my layout.  So I embossed the all the chipboard with the yellow first.  

Then I decided to add sprinkles of the chunky white enamel in order to soften the yellow and give the layout a more shabby feel.

After preparing my chipboard and base for my layout I started to add my cute embellishments and paper piecing.

I love that photo of my niece and had a great time creating this layout for Leaky Shed Studio.  I hoped you enjoyed it.
