Inspired Art Canvas with Art Anthology

Hi - Today I am sharing a little piece of canvas art.  This month Art Anthologyhas challenged our Design Team ladies to be “inspired” by an Artist that you admire.  I chose to be inspired by Cori Dantini.  I love her whimsical view of nature and her choice of colors.
I started off with Art Anthology’s new texture paste “mud”.  I love the smoothness of this medium and it also gave me the texture I was looking for to start my layering process.

My first layer was some pretty vellum that I tore and adhered to my blank canvas.  I then sprayed some colorations “salted caramel” and the new Fairy Dust: “Gilded Gold”

Next I took out some water color paper and started to sketch my owl.

I cut out my sketch drawing and glued it to the top of my canvas.  Next I had to use some more colorations around the image to “blend” it in.  I also used some water color pencils.  To outline some of my drawing I used my Faber Castel pit pen.

Lastly, I added some prima flowers, cut out leaves from corrugated colorations sprayed board and a leaf I cut out of my vellum.  Along the edges I added sorbet “Vegas Gold”
Thank you for stopping by and come back to see what my team members at Art Anthology will design for you next.

Retreat by the Shore with Art Anthology

Hi -  Today I am sharing my latest project using the fabulous Art Anthology products.  I decided to make a seashore inspired large tag with lots of color and layering.

Above I started with 2 4×7.5 tags.  I cut 4 inches off of one tag and sprayed both pieces with my Art Anthology Colorations.

Above I used the new Art Anthology “Stucco” texture paste and added Colorations “Waimea Bay” and mixed it so that I could use my new “Bubbles” AA stencil for my tag below.  I started to add layers of vellum, ribbon, jewels, my stencils and crystal dimension “Mermaid”

It's a New Year with Helmar!

Hi, today my simple and cute gift set is being featured over at the Helmar Blog today.  I made this cute set for a special young lady who just started her dream job of being a teacher.

I used the Helmar Craft and Hobby PVA glue for my project.

Please go on over to the Helmar Blog today to see more images of my note gift set.  I decided to make it a teacher theme, but you can use your stash and decorate these anyway you like.

Happy Scrapping,
