New Album for Art Anthology

Hi, wow so happy today.  It is my second post for Art Anthology! I am very excited, and today sharing an album I was able to make very shabby style.  We are still introducing ourselves over at Art Anthology so I did want to create something that speaks to me personally.  Yes, it is albums.  You all know how much I love making them.

I haven't received my goody DT box yet, but I already own some Art Anthology because it is awesome product.  So I used what I had which led to me designing this pretty album

I already knew that I was going to use black and that my album was going to be made from envelopes. I was thinking mostly of techniques because I want to show the versatility of the Art Anthology products.  My techniques for today are stamping and stenciling.  I used sorbet "Black Leather Jacket" to stencil the front, back and the binding.

I also used the same sorbet to stamp some of my pages.  All I did was run my brayer through a glob of sorbet on my plate and smooth it over my stamp.  The image came out perfect and bonus textured!

If you haven't been over to the Art Anthology blog please go check it out.  There are some amazing artist on that design team and they all have a specialty.  For more photos of my shabby album today, please go visit my post over at Art Anthology.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my project as much as I enjoyed creating it.

To Spring and New Adventures

This is my last post for Basically Bare after almost 3 years of being on their team.  It has been a good three years.  I was able to make lots of albums (my favorite) and made some friends along the way.

I decided to make this butterfly card because butterfies signify new beginnings right?  or did I make that up.  Well anyway that is what it means to me.  I first dry embossed the base card, I then placed my black cardstock on the base.  I then decided to stencil my third layer with gesso.

Then the fun part, I start to layer whatever is around me.  I ended up using the Basically Bare canvas leaves and also the cardboard heart on this card.  Then I sprayed and used sorbet from Art Anthology to finish the card.

I decided to make a second card ...

For this card I used the Basically Bare "Gears" and also the "Fanciful Frames".  I sprayed more Art Anthology on the felt frame and used my paint brush to flick more spray over the entire card.

For more pictures of my cards please go on over to my post on Basically Bare.  They have a new and awesome design team over there so please continue to go on over and see what they create for you.

Spring Means Weddings!

Hi, just wanted to share a quick photo of some custom banners I made for a bridal shower gift for a special friends wedding.

My client let me know exactly what she wanted. Black with a touch of red and very simple, the bride likes a simple clean look.

So I created these banners for her.  She loves them and is happy.  Yay, my job is done :)

The Mr. and Mrs. banner is for the wedding photos taken on site and the thank you banner is for after her wedding - she wants to thank her friends and family for attending her special occasion.

I reinforced both banners with extra tabs where I strung through the wire and the ribbon.

I thought this was such a cute idea for a photo opportunity to commemorate your special day.

Guest Designer at Leaky Shed Studio!

I am so excited today!  I am the Guest Designer over at Leaky Shed Studio.  I decided to create a tag using Leaky Shed Studio's awesome chipboard Butterflies and their Julie Nutting doll.

For those of you that know me - you know I love making tags because they are little pieces of art.  You have the freedom with not a lot of time invested; to use all kinds of mixed media and layer to your heart's content.

I used the following below from Leaky Shed Studio, go on over and check out the products and blog featuring my tag!  I also posted a mini tutorial of my process when making the tag.

Classy Girl (4 in) - Julie Nutting

Spring Butterfly (small)

I hope I have inspired you to make a tag today and don't forget to check Leak Shed Studio for awesome chipboard.

Happy Scrapping ...

Enjoy Family Time New Album

It's my turn over at Basically Bare blog today.  I created a cute family time album that I am also going to make into a class.  I used one of favorite album Polly's Pocket.  This album makes it so easy to create a mini album, I love the pockets and tags and the extra room you get for adding more photos and journaling.

Go on over to Basically Bare today - I posted more photos of my album.

Layouts and More Layouts

As you know I love making albums, but my girlfriends ask me for layouts at our crops.  So I wanted to revamp some old designs and use my stash.  I am a big believer in using your stash LOL.

So here are some themed 2 page layouts that I've made and posted on my Etsy Store Kitsnbitscraps

I wanted to give you another example of how you can use the same stash and just change out the position and make another layout with your stash!

Thank you for stopping by ....  I am making a cute coin envelope mini album right now that I should be able to post soon.

Happy Scrapping
