New Foxy Midori Paper Clips and Helmar

Hi, today I would like to debut my NEW Foxy Faux Midori.   Yes another faux midori my daughter loved my last white and black midori so much she hi-jacked it.  Now I decided to make a standard size faux midori (5 x 8.5) with my foxy pattern purchased over on Etsy (The pink cow boutique) for myself.  I decided to go bigger because I carry a suitcase as a purse.

Please go on over to Helmar today and check out my post featuring Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive

I bought some cute buttons from Button Galore that went with the fox / forrest theme I was looking for, got out my button clippers and voila.  So easy after that.  Be sure to back up your buttons and paper piecings with felt to not only secure your paper clip to the button using of course Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive but also for a finished look.

I also made a cute Paper Piecing Fox and it is really very easy.  Draw your "model" then copy your image and start taking the image apart in pieces and start putting them back together in layers :)

I think these cutie  patootie paper clips came out so cute.  Yes I did buy one foxy paper clip from "The Creative Bee".

Thank you for stopping by my small end of the blogger.  Happy Scrapping and Planner making.

New 2016 Travelers Notebook Fauxmidori and Helmar!

Happy New Year!

One of the rituals I have every New Year is to get a brand new calendar!  This year I am trying out the Midori Traverlers Notebook system.  I happened to come across the "The Reset Girl" you tube video on Midori 101 and discovered the Midori for the first time.  I had no idea about this planner system, apparently I was living under a rock. I had no idea about all the planner addicts out there?  Wow, I have always had a planner since I was a teenager and started hoarding paper.  I currently have a Franklin Covey and several Filofax but the Midori system really spoke to me.  I love the way that I can "custom" my planner.

So I went on to Amazon and bought some of the Midori notebooks, and basic supplies such as pen holder, rubber bands etc.  Also you can buy moleskin notebooks at Target they only have certain sizes but you can buy them in packs of three.

OK, so now I got ready to decorate my planner notebooks with Helmar.  For this project I used the Helmar Super-Tac and also the Crystal Kote in Matte.

I then prepared my Traveler's Notebook Books with gesso and stencils please go by the Helmar blog and see more details in the preparation process.

For this planner I am using two Notebooks and my 2016 Monthly calendar.  The turquoise Notebook is for my "brain-dump" important things I should remember such as birthdays, codes, goals, book list, movie list, etc.  The stamped and gold Notebook is my "Bullet Journal."  I personally use the bullet journal as more of a "To-Do" list versus the standard bullet journal method.  Maybe later I will get into the bullet journal method.

One of the things I like about this Traveler's Notebook system is that I can decorate and use my Notebooks any way I like.  For instance I am also working on a "Sketch-Journal."

Now for the cover.  This is my "Fauxdori"  they call them faux because this is not the original leather midori.  This one is made of fabric which I find ADORABLE.

I purchased the cute panda paper clip from 1 creative bee on Etsy.  The cute flower paper clip I made myself using some of Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

I am so excited to start working my new calendar.  I will keep you updated on my progress.  Thank you for stopping by ...   Happy Scrapping
