BLOG CANDY and Basically Bare Exam!

Ok, so what's with the exam you ask?  Well, let me tell you, I applied for the Basically Bare design team call and OH MY GOSH!! They called me back and I am a contender to be on their design team .. WHAT!!!  I am so excited because I LOVE LOVE LOVE these albums.  Just ask Tammy the store owner of my LSS.  I begged her to order these beauties and she did! WHOOT then I grabbed several and got to work on doing what I love ... creating albums.  You all know that is what I do, I love making mini's LOL. 

Here is one of the albums I made using the BK003 Simply Shapely album and Graphic 45

I used this album to teach a class at the Paper Niche and I specifically chose this album because I wanted to show technique.  This album is a mixed media album with acrylic, canvas, chipboard and felt pages.

This album measures 4.5 by 8.5 and I loved using it because the inside pages are kraft pockets.  I filled all the pockets with journaling and photos.  It was a fast and easy to use album.  Yeah for me.


OK, so here is the thing, part of my assignment as a contender to be on the awesome design team for



is to pick out 3 of my favorite items from their product line, but not just any 3 items but 3 items with a pretty good idea of what I will do with them. 

So here goes, my most important decision is the album of course.  I decided upon this beauty, Betty's Brackets

This album from Basically Bare is sized to hold your most precious memories. Packed from cover to cover with alluring and alterable materials, not only will you find this booklet versatile, but fabulously fun to work with! This album is bound with metal spiral binding which can be loosened in order for you to disassemble and reassemble your booklet. This album measures approximately 5.5" x 10" and includes the following materials:

•Covers: Double sided corrugated board
•Inner Pages: Heavy weight chipboard, natural unbleached canvas and flexible, embossable acrylic

My second pick is this little lady ES003VR1 - Dress Me Up Dressforms.  Why?  I will tell you all in a second.  But maybe you are getting a hint of the theme

And now my final pick.  These beautiful Fleur De Lys item nbr: BB007VR.

Getting my vision yet?  Well let me just tell you.  I see a french theme coming on.  I got the idea from these black and white photos of my daughter Vanessa.  I wanted to make her an album with a romantic Paris inspired theme.  Here are some of the pictures I will be using ...

I will also be using the new Glitz Design French Kiss collection and maybe some Pretty In Pink thrown in.
