Winter with Basically Bare @ G'ma's House

Is it frosty where you are?  Well it sure is at Grandma's house!  I love the view from her window so had to create a layout with this photo.

Go on over to Basically Bare to see the full reveal - I am up on their blog today :)

I created my layout using Bo Bunny "Powder Mountain" and Basically Bare chipboard embellishments.  I also used Art Anthology's sorbet!  Really loving this multi-dimensional paint.  Here is a sneak peek below to give you an idea of the theme.

Go on over to Basically Bare, let me know if you like what you see.  Thank you for stopping by, Happy New Year!

This is "SEW" cute

I already had posted this album over on the Basically Bare blog back a couple of months, but I was looking at it today and I have to say ... I really love this album.  I had some vintage trinkets that my G'ma Elsie had given me and so I think I got attached to this album because of the mementos.  Also because I think it turned out "SEW" cute.

So I am sharing this little treasure on my blog with you today.

The cover is made from two acrylic pages from the "oh so mini" albums that I hand sewed together

These two tags that I made from the Tim Holtz "Kraft Resist" are sandwiched between the two acrylic pages from the Basically Bare "Oh so Mini" album pages

The pocket on this page is made from (G'ma's) vintage snap packing.  There is also a vintage button packing tag in the pocket

stamped "tape measure" tag stamped with Impression Obsession.  I always try and pick one element that I place through out my album.  For this "Sew Cute" album is was the tags I stamped with the "tape measure" rubber stamp

Tape measure stamp using staz-on on the Basically Bare canvas page

I used the 7 gypsies tissue paper for my ruffle.  The button on the top is from Jenni Bowlin.  I LOVE those buttons

The dress form is from Basically Bare.  I "dressed" up the form with wood buttons, some paper and lace.  How cute is that?

The Tim Holtz Kraft Resist and the October Afternoon paper has really enhanced sewing theme

I love using buttons whenever I can.  These buttons are from
October Afternoon

Thank you for stopping by and letting me share my love of making albums with you.

Happy Scrapping ..

Scrapstreet Magazine's 100th Final Issue

Well its been over a year since I started writing for Scrapstreet magazine and I want to thank Dora and the Scrapstreet team for that opportunity.  The 100th and final issue of ScrapStreet magazine is here after 7 years.  I gotta say I am going to miss it.  The magazine was loaded with ideas and inspiration.

So as I hang my hat as a scrapstreet writer, I want to make sure you go on over to Scraptreet because they have alot of digital giveaways.

Thank you Scrapstreet for inviting me to be a part of a great group of people, and a very inspirational magazine.

Basically Bare is doing a swap with Xyron

So this is the last day of our Basically Bare/Xyron Swap.  Check out all the projects the Basically Bare design team members posted this week.  Here is mine.

I have been using Xyron for a very L O N G time and this product has never failed me, for that thank you Xyron

Both Xyron and Basically Bare are giving away prizes so be sure to comment on their blogs.  Remember today is the last day.  Also a little sugar my way would be nice too :)

I made this cute mini journal album with Basically Bare "Polly Pocket" album and yes, of course I used Xyron.

I still have to finish some of the pages on the inside - so stay tuned for some pictures of that.

Thank you for stopping by

Bella Blvd and Basically Swap

Basically Bare and Bella Blvd just finished a week long swap.  Everyone did such an awesome job on their projects you must check it out on Basically Bare and also Bella Blvd.

Today I want to share my post on the Basically Bare blog.  Of course I did an album :)  I used the new "Easel" album by Basically Bare and the so very cute "Thankful" by Bella Blvd.

Since the "Thankful" collection from Bella Blvd. had some really cute thanksgiving designs I decided to make my easel album about what I am Thankful for.

Here is a look:

Isn't this easel album so cute?  It stands on your coffee table or bookshelf.  I brought it out after dinner and had my family write what they were thankful for in the journaling space I made on some of the pages.

Look how cute this tree came out.  I made it from the "Happy Little Trees" from Basically Bare and instead of the tree top I used the Basically Bare chipboard buttons.  Did you notice the little leaves I cut out and glued to the ends of the May Arts jute?

Of course I made some pages for my Thanksgiving photos!

This was really a fun swap and I loved the Bella Blvd "Thankful" papers and my new "Easel" album.  Thank you for stopping by today and dont forget to go to Basically Bare and to Bella Blvd to see what the other designers created for the swap.

Some FALL Inspiration

Thought I would share this envelope album I made, hoping to give you some Fall inspiration.

Alot of the embellies I used were from WeRMemory Keepers, but the paper was a mish mash of what I had in my stash.  I love it when I can use up what I have :)

Happy Scrapping and thank you for stopping by
