Cards, cards and more cards
My girl friend Daphna came over yesterday and we got the urge to make cards. Daphna use to own a stamp store so now she mostly likes to make layouts but ... talked her in to coming over and playing with me.
Below are some of the cards I made.
This stamp is my pumpkin lady ... I love her long legs, you can see more of these ladies at American Art Stamps - just look under the artist Karen Stolpher.

This stamp is from the artist Emerson Quillin. I think these stamps are a hoot.

These are my Christmas cards ... I am starting early for my Christmas in July. July is when I start making cards and gifts - it takes me the full 6 months to prepare (LOL). I never end up making enough cards to give out or finishing all my projects for gifts. But I do try .... The first two cards are from the artist Robin Pickens.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these American Art Stamps; I think they are the cutest ever!! You can buy these stamps either wood mounted or cling rubber. I will have some of these cards on sale on my etsy site.

Sneek Peek - Monsters
I have been working with Core'dinations cardstock lately. I really love the versatility of this cardstock, especially for altering and distressing the paper. Here is a pic of my latest project. Notice how you can dry emboss the paper, then sand it and you get a whole different color. Pretty cool stuff.

Father's Day Card
This is a little card I made today for Father's Day. I had made a paper piecing of the little bear for a layout that I am teaching at Cherry Blossom Studio on June 28, called "I love U beary Much" and thought I would downsize my bear and use to make this cute card. By the way there are still openings in the class so be sure to check it out.

Two New Albums
I am very excited about my new discovery with Genuinely Jane Studios - I promise this is the last owl project I will do for a while. I bought some more shapes from GJS so I will start working on those. It's just that I get on these tangents where I focus on a technique or color or in this case theme....OWLS. Anywho I have posted my little wood Owl Album on ebay... so check it out ... let me know what you think.

I also have my second ebay posting on a smaller chipboard album ... titled "Sweetie". I still just absolutely love the SAFFRON paper from K&CO and the matching embellishments which I LOADED on this cute mini arrow chipboard album.

SNEEK PEEK - Posting on EBAY Soon
Geeze, I've been busy with nothing in particular - just living my life ... and running in circles. So I need to catch up on my blogging. I am working on a couple of projects for ebay and hope to have them finished and posted by tonight. See the sneek peek slideshow I posted (proud of myself for figuring it out).
Be on the look out for my postings on ebay ... I have two albums that just need the finishing touches. The owl album on my slideshow and an arrow album - they are both super cute. If you feel like blogging let me know what you think of them.
I am also teaching my "WhOO loves you" two page layout at Cherry Blossom Studio. Michelle saw it when I had it up for sale on ebay and really liked it so she asked me to teach it at her store. Of course I had to change the papers to what she had available, but I think it turned out cute. I used basic grey, luxe, bazzill and unity stamps just to name a few. So if you live in the area, and you like the pages; go to the Cherry Blossom studio's site and click on events to sign up.

MORE OWLS

Saw this stamp on the Hero Arts site and I thought they were so dang cute. The stamp is LP131 and Hero Arts also give you plenty of samples of what they did with this adorable stamp.
I also found this oh so cute wood album by Genuinely Jane Studios this item is #106. Its 5.5 x7.5 and comes with 8 pages total including front and back covers.

This is what I have done with the owl ablum so far. Notice the eyes, I sprayed the wood with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Tuscan Sun) and pearl ex powdered pigment then I stamped on it using gold metalic ink (memories) and the Hero S1832 Italian Script.

OWLS are in!
I have been seeing owls everywhere I go lately. I tend to get on tangents and this week its OWLS!! I think they are sooo cute. This is what I have done with owls this week for ebay ... its titled "WHOO Loves You"
I hand drew my little owl, then I paper pieced it together. On the second page I stamped my image and then paper pieced layers on the stamped image for more color and texture.

New Class - I LUV U Beary Much!
I was given a challenge to use the LUXE Sundress collection which by the way I love. I really like the colors because they are so warm and of course love flowers ! I also put some core'dinations cardstock in the mix along with some beautiful May Arts ribbon.
So after about a week I came up with this idea since Mother's Day and Father's Day are close and I was thinking about my parents and how much I loved them .... this is what I came up with.
I will be teaching this class at Cherry Blossom Studio on Sunday, June 28th. You will also get a bonus template and directions for a cute "beary" card.

There are no mistakes in Art
It seems that everytime I teach a class there are several ladies that want to do their layout "just like mine" which is fine but then when someone does something a little different - they get all upset because they made a mistake. There are no mistakes in creating ... in fact from my personal experience my "mistakes" usually turn out better than what I originally had in my head. I did these wall art a while ago. Can you tell which one I made a "mistake" on?
I want to leave you with this motto that I read on etsy today I liked it and thought I would share "Practice, Practice, Practice Creativity is like a muscle that you need to flex regularly. I dread staring at a blank piece of paper, but everything begins with that first stroke. "

North Carolina Trip
Just got back from a 4 day trip to N. Carolina. Our neighbors own property there and were kind enough to invite my husband and I. We had a great time - good friends, wonderful food and beautiful views from the mountain top.

I will definately scrap this trip. Maybe I will use the new Luxe Ecology line, I love the trees, birds and flowers in that line and it will definately go with my pictures.

Sneak A Peek
I thought I would show you a sneakie peakie of what I am currently working on. This will be a class for Cherry Blossom Studio sometime in the middle of April. The class day and time has not been determined yet. The paper line I am using is the new “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring” collection from Piggy Tales. Uhmmm, wonder what I can come up with? If you have any ideas, please share.
I thought I would also show you some pictures of my trip to the New Cherry Blossom Studio store ... its pretty cool; she has a HUGE crop room where she holds 3-day crops!! Wow!! As usual I went into the store to get something specific and ending up spending hours there. Some of that was chatting with my friends....

PROMOTION SALE on my Etsy Shop!
Every month or 2 I come up with a NEW promotional sale for my kitsnbitscraps etsy store - This month's sale is good until the end of April.
If you BUY 2 Premade Layouts or more you receive - One FREE page kit valued at $5.99. Below are just a few examples of what is selling at my shop now. I just added several Premade Two Page layouts for just $10.00!!!

This is my way of saying thank you for visiting me on etsy.
Ok, so speaking of etsy I found an awesome store that sells hand crocheted flowers and butterflys - and she will make them in any color you want! Of course I had to purchase a few different colors to add to my pages. You can stack the crochet flower on top of primas along with pretty buttons or brads to really dress up your page.
Below is a picture of how I used ziemabir flowers.

SomeBunny Loves Me Chipboard Book Class
I taught a class for Cherry Blossom Studio this weekend and thought I would show you some pictures. Cherry Blossom is getting ready for their big move to a beautiful shopping center in Coconut Creek called "The Promenade" so we held our class at the old location. Four of the ladies that signed up live in Boston and flew in for the class - the pressure was on! We (almost) finished a chipboard Easter Book that was 5x11 - some ladies were 2 pages short of finishing so I emailed them the pics of the last pages to finish at home. The class took a little longer than the alloted 4 hours but everyone enjoyed themselves - now on to the next project!!
